In the 1950s and 1960s, after the end of the war, many Western songs heard on vacuum-tube radios may be fondly remembered as sound memories, especially by children who were in their youth. This time, we are going to listen to some of these songs from the SP recordings of Glenn Miller, who was active in jazz music during and after World War II, using a portable gramophone. Whether you are nostalgic for the old days or new to jazz, please come and join us.

Gramophone ： Nippon Gramophone, the predecessor of Nippon Columbia （ Nitchik ） Portable type made in Moka factory. Loudspeaker （ Spring-powered box phonograph without trumpet ）. Probably manufactured in the prewar 1930s.
Record disc ： Also called SP disc or shellac disc, usually 78 rpm, 10 inches （ 25 cm ） in diameter, popular from the Meiji era until shortly after the war. In Japan, production ended in 1960 （ and 1960 ）. This time, JVC, Decca （ Decca ） and HMV （ HisMaster'sVoice ： Victor's predecessor) etc. are used.

We will also attempt to play 7 ～ 8 78rpm sound discs, including other nostalgic theme music used in movie scenes of the time.
