Concerning fraudulent e-mails purporting to be from the National Police Agency

This is a notification from the Ichihara Police Department.
A person in Ichihara City reported receiving a fraudulent e-mail claiming to be from the Police Department.
The content of the email is that a child has been arrested for theft and the victim needs to pay 1,000,000 yen in compensation, and the email urges the victim to transfer the money to the account listed in the email.
The police will never send an email urging payment of compensation. If you receive such an e-mail, please do not take the easy way out and be sure to consult with your family or others or report the matter to the police.
