Ichihara Police Department is working on prevention of damage through crime prevention campaigns and patrols.
In Ichihara City, there were 29 cases of phone deception and about 58 million yen in damage at the end of September.
Recently, we have received an increasing number of reports of fraudulent calls to cell phones as well as home landlines.

Please take this opportunity to discuss with your family members how to avoid becoming a victim of fraud, and take measures to avoid talking directly to the perpetrator such as
○ setting up an answering machine on your landline or cell phone

If you receive a suspicious call, do not rush to make a decision on your own, but consult the police or your family.
