Recently, we have received a report of an appointment caller who is deceiving a police officer with a new technique.
The perpetrators deceive a police officer and call with phrases such as, "A cell phone in your name is being used for a crime." They call the victim with a phone call, "Your cell phone in your name is being used for a crime," etc., and lead the victim to a free app call or video call, and then show a fake arrest warrant or an image of a police identification card to make the victim trust them and cheat them out of their cash under various names.

○ Do not contact them using the free app's call or video call features.
○ They do not use the video call feature to present images of police notes or arrest warrants.
The best way to avoid being victimized is not to talk to the criminal.
○ Do not answer or return unknown phone numbers.
○ Set up an answering machine on your landline phone.
Take such measures. If you receive a suspicious call, please contact the police station or the nearest police box.
