Shirai City Cultural Center Planetarium celebrates its 30th anniversary this year

"Yajirushi's mischief ～ Fuyu ～" Full length live commentary ～ 4/13
Yajirushi, who loves mischief, draws doodles all over the night sky. Let's go on a space trip with a rocket drawn by Yajirushiki-kun. There is also a commentary on the constellations.

"Planetarium 100th Anniversary" All live commentary 4/13
May 7, 2025 is exactly 100 years since the first modern planetarium opened to the public. This program will introduce how planetariums work and the history of planetariums from their invention to the present. There will also be a constellation commentary.

Admission 350 yen for adults, 160 yen for high school students and younger
Tickets are available at the counter on the 3rd floor of the Cultural Center Library Building

"The brightness and color of stars: how they change their positions in winter" (4th grade elementary school students only) Elementary
Astronomy ・ This is a projection about the astronomy ・ space field which is studied in junior high school science class. Elementary ・ Junior high school students and adults are also welcome.
Admission ： Adults 350yen, High school students and younger 160yen Tickets available from 13:00


★ Chick Planetarium for infants and families
2/22(Sat)・ 26(Wed)，3/19(Wed) 22ndSaturday 11:30 ～ 12:00
This program is for young children who have never been to a planetarium before. They can connect stars and draw pictures of the starry sky, listen to music and star stories, and become familiar with the starry sky in a fun atmosphere.
As long as children do not cry, they are welcome to come to the planetarium, even if they are a little worried about the dark.
Admission 200 yen for adults, free for children, tickets available from 11:00 on each day

★ Riddle solving in the planetarium ～ Escape from the starry sky 30 years ago for junior high school students ～ For adults
The fun has been proven. This is a real mystery-solving game where you can also learn the secrets of stars and planetariums while solving the riddles. sky. There will be commentary on the constellations along the way.

★ Special projection of the Great East Japan Earthquake
"Farther than the Stars" - Chapter 2: With the Starry Sky produced by Sendai City Observatory
3/8 (Sat) ・ 9 (Sun) 11：Tuesday:11(Tuesday)15:00 ～ 15:45
We will project the program produced by crowdfunding in 2018 to keep the memory of the Great East Japan Earthquake from fading away. It is a documentary about the connection between the starry sky and the victims on the day of the disaster.
Admission Free Numbered tickets will be distributed from 14:30 each day

This CD concert includes storytelling and the story of the birth of the stars. Infants are welcome to enter with their babies. （ If they cry, leave the room ）

After the stargazing commentary in the dome, we will actually view the stars on the roof of the Cultural Center. In case of rain or cloudy weather, only commentary will be given at the dome.
Target ： Elementary school students ～ Adults (Pre-school children are not allowed to participate. Elementary school students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
Capacity ： 50 people
Reception ： 18:05 ～ Please come to the entrance on the 1st floor of the library building between 18:25.
