On March 20, （ Thursday, ） a little after 1:00 p.m., a passenger car （ male in his 50s ） ran out into the oncoming lane of traffic on Route 297 at Hirakura, Ichihara, and collided head-on with a motorcyclist （ male in his 50s ） proceeding from the opposite direction. The driver of the motorcycle was killed.

Today （ March 21 ） Currently, the number of traffic accident fatalities in Ichihara City is 4, tied for the worst in the prefecture, and one more than the same period last year, a critical situation.
