This year's NHK Taiga Drama features Tokugawa Ieyasu. In the 18th year of Tensho (1590), Ieyasu was transferred by order of Toyotomi Hideyoshi
from Mikawa province and other regions to Kanto, effectively beginning the Edo period in the Kanto region.
I will talk about the major changes in local communities such as Nishikamisou due to the entry into Kanto and the change in the way Kanto was ruled, based on historical documents.
